Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Department
Welcome to the Western Dubuque Community School District (WDCSD) Instructional Services Department. Kelly Simon, the Director of Curriculum and Assessment, is responsible for the development, coordination and supervision of Instructional Services. The Instructional Services Department focuses on curriculum, instruction and assessment to develop educational programming focusing on increasing student achievement.

The WDCSD has Iowa Core aligned curriculum between elementary, middle school and high school providing quality learning outcomes for our students.

Students in the WDSCD are assessed using the Iowa Assessment Testing, ACT, PLAN, and EXPLORE assessment progression, STAR interim assessments, and AIMSWeb assessments.
