The above quiz will assess your basic knowledge of Word. You need to score 80% or higher to pass this quiz.
 



 
Final Assessment
It is now time to demonstrate your proficiency using Microsoft Word to create a useable document.  Your teacher will a provide project assignment which you will create to demonstrate your proficiency.  Your teacher will, also, inform you where the location is that you will upload your finished project.
 
You will be creating a Word document that is relevant to one of your classes or a class that the teacher wishes you to use.  Your document will be in the form of a research or resource paper.  This paper will be graded on the demonstrated use of the basic concepts learned in this course about Microsoft Word.
 
The skills that will be demonstrated in your final project are:
  • The use of 2 different fonts
  • Appropriately used text formatting
    • Boldface
    • Change in text color (a minimum of 2 different colors)
    • Change in text size (a minimum of 2 different sizes)
    • 2 different text alignments
    • Double spaced line formatting
  • Using the correct indents and tabs for your paragraphs
  • Demonstrate appropriate line and paragraph spacing
  • Use headers and/or footers
  • Display page numbers
  • Insert a minimum of 3 pictures/images/objects
    • Use text wrapping options
    • Align, order, and/or group the images/objects
  • Insert a minimum of 1 table or Insert a minimum of 1 chart
  • Spelling must be correct (use the Spell Checker)
  • All sources will be appropriately cited using the citation format recommended by your Computer Apps teacher or classroom teacher (MLA, APA, etc.)
